At this point, we start to introduce a little more structure to the day, along with other activities such as baking (a great way of supporting early maths), water play (to support science). How are the children settled into nursery?

Once your child joins ‘LSN’ they will receive all the care and attention they need. The first time your child separates from you can be an upsetting experience – for you as much as, if not more than, your child! However, our sympathetic and well experienced staff can help make the whole process much happier and less traumatic.

Some children will settle at nursery very easily, whilst for others it may be more difficult and take a little longer.

For these reasons we admit the children in smaller groups. The settling in process will be explained on your child’s first day.

Many parents and carers like to spend time with their child in the nursery looking at our activities and displays.

Do you have a uniform at LSN?

At LSN, we firmly believe that our nursery uniform plays a valuable role in contributing to our ethos and setting an appropriate tone which supports effective teaching and learning. Working with children, we have made a lot of progress towards achieving the consistent appearance of children in uniform and we are keen to maintain this, therefore all children should wear the specified which can be brought from the nursery.

What time can we visit for a look around?

‘At LSN, we have an ‘open door policy so you are able to come at any time. However if you make an appointment it will reduce your waiting time and will ensure a member of staff is available.
